Feel free to post up your favorite Challenger character, ask questions about the game, or recommend anything new you'd like to see in the future. Thanks.

Please force us to follow you on Twitter and Like us on Facebook. I follow back on Twitter, usually.
You can also contact my via e-mail, or letter. I always read everything anyone sends me and I love constructive advice. I won't get mad at you if you say my book is crappy. A lot of good people telling me it was horrible was the only way it became what it is today; with over 10K+ downloads per month on Amazon. Way to go guys! that's totally awesome.
I only ask that you include "Challenger RPG" in the title of any e-mails so I don't accidentally delete them as spam. Thanks.

Challenger_rpg@hotmail.com is now up and running as well. Please feel free to drop me a line!

    1. Hi B,

I'll definitely look into it. I was actually trimming out a lot of extraneous races and trying to consolidate them. There is a section at the back which says "Part X" which allows you to combine two or more races which I'll be moving up to the front of the Race chapter.

However, if you think half elves would merit a full race entry I'd be willing to consider putting that in. Are there any specific qualities, abilities, and traits you'd like included in the half elves' racial entry?

I might also make a race called "Half Human" or "Part Human". I could then list various power combinations so you could make: half orcs, half elves, half giants, or whatever else might be interesting. Possibly even half elementals.

I'd love to hear what you think! Please feel free to e-mail or post another comment or reply here.

I'll see what I can do about the half elves. I highly value feedback and comments and I'm always looking to make the game better so I really appreciate it. I'll probably run the idea by some of my playtesters and see if we can get a cool half elf entry written up.

So, no promises, but I'll see what I can do.

      Thanks!

  2. Why don't you add more than just gold pieces. You could add silver, copper, bronze, and platinum.

  3. Thanks B!

Sorry I took so long to write back. I was busy revising Challenger. I added Silver and Pennies to the currency (they could be considered bronze or copper). Platinum I didn't add, but that was just because I didn't want to steal too much from D&D. If you think specifically copper/bronze/platinum would add to the game, I'll think about including them in some way.

Also, I've added in the new Half Elf race you requested. Thanks for the suggestion! The new book is now out on Amazon Kindle, RPGnow.com in PDF, and Smashwords in multiple formats (although they have some restrictions on art/layout). I hope all the new changes are to your liking! I also have a new print version coming out soon complete with awesome page borders.

If you have any other ideas for improvement to the game, please let me know! I'll seriously consider working on the currencies if the new currencies I've already added are insufficient. Please let me know!

    Thanks again,

  4. I just found out about how awesome your book is. Thank you for adding my advice. Zach R. showed me the new book. I also made a new character (assassin/knife thrower). Also, coolest thing I have ever done on this RPG; rolled a 20 on 1d20 and stole 5 super cool dark crystal arrows from a arena champion (who I was about to slaughter) and handed them to my friend Ethan, a Elf/Archer Player Character who was going into the arena with me. And of course, I am also a half-elf. Last question: would you prefer me to email you or contact you on your website.

  5. Hey B,

I'm glad I could make it better with your great advice. Thank you. Wow, that's a pretty cool story. Your character sounds totally awesome and the half-elf + elf Archer combination must be pretty wicked. It sounds like you guys are the kings of ranged combat!

Feel free to message me on the website or my e-mail. I use Challenger_rpg(at)hotmail.com for all Challenger related stuff so it's totally cool if you want to send me info there. Also, I tend to check my e-mails a lot more than the website, so I could probably write back more quickly and extensively there. Although, work has been crazy busy lately. :)

Thanks again for the awesome advice. When I update the book with more artwork I'll be checking over things again and possibly adding in a couple things.

    Best Regards,

  6. I know you have already partially addressed this in the basic edition, but I think you should add in a bit more detail on creating your own maps and stuff to the GM section.

  7. Hi Nicholas,

Sorry for the delay in response. I was busy working. I think that's a fantastic idea. In fact, the latest version of Challenger (the full version) now has a whole section on making your own dungeon maps complete with pictures (in the Amazon version only because the other e-book companies don't allow too much artwork). If you can get a hold of the latest Amazon version (requires deleting your old one and re-downloading) or the latest PDF version you should be able to find the mapping section in Chapter Nine: How to Create a Dungeon. Page 209. I know it's a little tricky to delete an old copy off your kindle to get the new update. I had to manually delete my book before it would let me get the updated copy.

If the mapping advice in the new version wasn't what you're looking for, I'd love to hear more details so I can put it in the next revision (scheduled for when the artist finishes the art I paid her for 4 months ago).

Also, if you don't have the latest print edition of the book, feel free to e-mail me and I'd love to send you a free copy (postage paid by me). It's something I've been doing for all my best playtesters already and if it wasn't for great people like you pointing this kind of thing out, Challenger would never improve. Just be sure to label the e-mail Re: Challenger or something like that so I don't delete it as spam (my e-mail tends to junk anything new thrown at it).

Regardless, I really appreciate the input. If the newest version doesn't have the mapping tools you're looking for, please let me know and I'll see what I can do on the next update.

    All the Best,

    --David
